Who should attend?

The course is an optional one day advanced, challenging and extensive qualification aimed at trained operators who work in higher risk or challenging environments such as steelwork, confined overhead spaces or work on challenging terrain.

PAL+ training is open to operators who hold an existing PAL Card qualification in the relevant category.

Pre-requisites

Delegates must hold a valid IPAF approved MEWP Operator licence proving they have been successfully trained to operate the categories for which they wish to obtain PAL+.

We also accept the CPCS Blue card if within date.

A list of approved qualifications may be obtained from IPAF’s Training Operations Coordinator.

To ensure delegates get the most out of the course, sufficient experience in operating equipment is required.

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the theory test, practical test and interview will have the relevant categories added to their Powered Access Licence (PAL) Card valid for 5 years. For example, if you hold a PAL card with categories 1a, 1b, 3a and 3b and successfully complete PAL+ in categories 3a and 3b, you will be issued a new card as below.
